MDConsult in India

MDConsult-India is a partnership between MDConsult, USA and HELP, India, which was formed in order to enable Indian doctors to access the wealth of information which MDConsult provides, at a specially discounted rate for doctors in India.

It is very difficult for doctors in India to access medical information. Medical books get out of date, and journals are very expensive. Access to medical libraries is restricted only to the few doctors practising in large hospitals in the big cities. This often means that the medical knowledge base of many physicians is outdated and incomplete, leading to suboptimal medical care. This is also one of the reasons that even though Indian physicians have excellent clinical skills and very busy practises, they publish very little in the medical literature, because they find it hard to perform literature searches and keep up to date.

MDConsult allows doctors access to their own complete personal medical library, which is comprehensive, constantly updated , completely portable and always open !

By providing Indian doctors access to MDConsult's superb resources, we hope to be able improve the quality of medical care provided by the Indian healthcare industry.

As per a  recent communication received from Elsevier, we will be able to service your subscription till December 2013 after which users of MD Consult will have  to subscribe to Clinicalkey ( www.clinicalkey.com ) directly through Elsevier.

You could also send us the subscription fees through NEFT direct bank transfer.
